Yorkville Educational Foundation’s annual Fostering Our Future Awards honor Yorkville CUSD 115 educators, staff, volunteers, and community members who go above and beyond to support Y115. The program allows us to share the stories of these extraordinary heroes and honor them at a formal awards ceremony each spring.
Nominations for both staff and community awards are open from fall to winter, not a short window. Nominate someone while they are top of mind! Surprises will still happen in late-winter/early spring, and the event will take place on April 15, 2026.

All nominations are reviewed by a diverse committee comprised of representatives from Yorkville Schools, auxiliary groups, and community members. Prior to reaching the review committee, nominations are redacted to remove all identifying information (name, title, work location, etc.) to maintain the highest levels of impartiality. The committee scores each nomination based upon predetermined criteria. Nominees are notified of their nomination via surprise announcement. Nominees are also invited as a Guest of Honor at the annual Fostering Our Future Awards Ceremony. Winners from each nomination category are announced at the annual ceremony.
