VICTOR ANDERSON - YHS BAND DIRECTOR

Victor Anderson deserves recognition for his commitment, innovation, and passion for what is so obviously his true calling as Band Director at YHS. Especially during the last two years, when Covid affected so many, Mr. Anderson kept the Marching Foxes going with as normal of a schedule as possible.

In 2020, Mr. Anderson put in hard work to produce a live-stream Prism concert, scheduling all of the student performers to ensure social distancing and organizing performance times. 2021 was another incredible effort, making sure all of the music students were able to participate in person and in a venue that they had not used before.

His dedication to his students and love of his profession is evident through the many awards, showcases, and student accolades earned each year. Mr. Anderson is a big reason why the Yorkville Music program is a source of pride throughout the community.
